Entrepreneur Travis McLaren will team with CelebrityPress, a leading book publishing company, and several leading business professionals from around the world to release the book, “Stand Apart.”

Coquitlam, BC, Canada – October 16, 2013 – Travis McLaren, Founder and Owner of Cloud 9 Float Spa, has joined best-selling author and marketing expert, Dan Kennedy, along with a select group of the world’s leading experts to co-write the forthcoming book titled, Stand Apart: Stand Out Strategies from Today’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals to Help You Achieve Health, Wealth, & Success. Nick Nanton, Esq., along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., recently signed a publishing deal with each of these authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPress imprint.

Travis McLaren initially started down the path of becoming a police officer, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology under his belt and over 3 years’ experience as an auxiliary police officer. He now has a dream job with Cloud 9 Float Spa. The journey from police officer to Float Spa owner was a 5 year dream in the making. In 2008, he co-founded Naked Boxer Brief Inc., which produces high-end men’s underwear. Travis and his business partner were featured on the Dragon’s Den’s TV show in 2009 and in 2013 the company went public.

While attending university, he competed in rowing at a national level. He believes rowing brings together a perfect combination of mind and physical power all in perfect harmony & balance. When competing at that level, he recalls visiting a hypnotherapist to strengthen his mental training. One of his goals is to introduce the float tank to athletes out there that wish to take their game to the next level through enhanced mental training and quicker physical recovery through floating. Another primary goal of his is to introduce the tank to those who suffer from chronic pain, so they can feel relief for moments in the tank and extended periods beyond.  Floating reminds them what it feels like to live pain free again.

Travis is also a Reiki practitioner and is enthused by what can be achieved through “energy work”. He wishes to introduce floating to those who are open to enhancing the “mind-body connection”. He sums it up by saying, “We are all energy – We must love life, take time to laugh and feel good.”
