The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm Founder, Victoria L Collier, Turns Her Attention To The Lifelong Grief Children Experience When Parents Die

Estate & Asset Protection Attorney, Victoria Collier encourages parents to prepare a will and estate plan that takes into account the physical as well as psychological wellbeing of children in the event of unexpected death.

DECATUR, GA, October 31, 2018: Victoria L. Collier, founder of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new blog on her law firm’s website entitled “Plan For The Physical And Psychological Care Of Children Upon Death Of Parents.” Ms. Collier creates a sense of urgency as she speaks to parents about a topic no one wants to consider.

Victoria CollierAs Collier states, “I cannot imagine there is a parent on the planet who likes or wants to consider the possibilities that they could or would die before their children. “ She continues, “However, it happens. Every single day in the United States children are orphaned. And don’t be fooled into thinking that this happens only among those living in poverty. It happens in every strata of society.”

“According to a 2010 Wall Street Journal piece,” says Collier, “at that time one in nine American children had lost a parent before they turned 20 years old.”

She adds, “I can only surmise that those statistics are even more shocking today. Accidents, disease, gun violence are all increasing exponentially.”
