Tax Advisor Barry G. Fowler, Tells Taxpayers To Be Cautious Because Tax Scammers are Still at Work

Barry G. Fowler, EA, leading expert in tax resolution issues and CEO of Taxation Solutions, helps taxpayers protect themselves against tax scammers and identity theft for next tax season and advises taking action immediately.

Houston, TX – April 30, 2015 – Barry G. Fowler, CEO of Taxation Solutions, posted a new article entitled “Tax Season Is Over, But The Tax Scammers Are Still Working”, in which he talks about the tax scammers setting up accounts at the IRS in other people’s names.

Fowler writes, “If you made it through the tax season without being a victim of identity theft or having had someone file taxes in your name, congratulations! Consider yourself blessed!”  Recent statistics say that the tax fraudsters have hit one out of every four taxpayers one way or another this year.”

With ever increasing technological sophistication it appears that no one is safe. As Fowler points out, “Some people even got hit more than once!” He adds, “If you are among those who got through unscathed, I have a suggestion that will help you out next tax season.  Go to irs.gov and create an account in your name before someone else does.” Then he emphasizes,  “And, yes, complete strangers can create an account in your name if they have just a little bit of relevant information.”
