Streets And Sidewalk Specialist Mario Fender Sets His Sights On Common Interest Developments And Commercial Properties In Austin And San Antonio

After Eight Years With General Pavement Management, Fender Joins Texas Based Pavecon To Expand Their Brand As HOA and Apartment Specialists in This Fast Growing Region

Austin, TX – September 5, 2014 – The pop singer Adele launched her extraordinary career with a catchy tune called “Chasing Pavements” in 2007 – bringing the term to the pop culture forefront not long after Mario Fender started his own successful journey in the asphalt and concrete paving business with the Southern California based company General Pavement Management (GPM).

Rising through the ranks, he eventually became one of the company’s Chief Project Managers representing many of the national corporations that GPM works with. After eight years, Fender is chasing pavements in a completely fresh and growing market, having moved in June 2014 to Texas to work with the rapidly expanding Lone Star State based Pavecon.

A powerful one-stop resource that is currently in over 15 states, including the Southwest and Southeastern U.S., Pavecon fully manages large-scale asphalt and concrete paving projects for community associations and commercial developments. They routinely handle contracted work for retail centers (H-E-B, Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Valero), apartment complexes, medical centers, auto dealerships, religious facilities, universities (University of Texas) and schools.

Fender is excited about the transition because his new company is renowned for offering the longest lasting, highest quality services, in addition to educational information to community associations and professional managers. Their trademarks are clear communications with managers and residents before, during and after each project; providing total quality the first time with special attention to cleanliness, uniformity and precision. They also maintain a safe site that is phased, barricaded, clearly marked and left clean each day.

Fender is looking forward to helping brand Pavecon as the HOA (Homeowners Association) and apartment pavement specialists for the greater Austin and San Antonio area. His specific role will be as a Paving Specialist (Legend) for Common Interest Developments, as well as for apartments and commercial properties. His specific tasks will include marketing, meeting with clients, discussing budgets, pavement inspections, making recommendations based on his vast expertise, project management and customer appreciation.

As part of his plan to network and establish himself as a high level professional working on behalf of the people in his new area, Fender intends to hit the ground running by becoming an active member of Austin’s and San Antonio’s Community Association Institute (CAI). CAI provides information and education to community associations and the professionals who support them.

Fender will be working for and on behalf of these property managers and board members. His goal is to build and gain trust with the property managers and board members so that they will always suggest Pavecon for any of their paving needs.

Pavecon prides itself in making tough jobs easy. They fully manage the entire project, from initial earthwork to finishing touches like landscaping. Their goal is making the process smooth and seamless – and to save their clients time and money while reducing the potential for costly errors and delays. Equally important to Fender as their new rep in Central Texas is the opportunity to educate homeowners about why it is critical to maintain their pavement.  He can solve issues and problems and make sure they are taken care of before disaster strikes.

Another reason Fender is excited about his move from Thousand Oaks, CA to the Austin/San Antonio area is a population and housing boom which will translate to a great deal of new community associations in the present and near future.

Austin took the top spot on Forbes’ 2014 annual list of America’s Fastest Growing Cities for the fourth year in a row. Dave Porter, Senior Vice President, Economic Development at the Austin Chamber confirms that 307 companies have moved to Austin in the last nine years.   “There are a lot of new housing developments popping up that need to protect and delay the costly replacement of the asphalt and concrete,” he says.

Fender adds, “In this business, as with any kind of sales, when you stand by your word, it takes away the stress. Success is all about making and building trust-based personal connections, and I’m exciting about making all this happen in Austin and San Antonio.”
