St. Andrews Country Club of Boca Raton Members Improve Golf Swings from America’s Best Golf Teachers in Guest Golf Instructor Series

(January 26, 2011) Boca Raton, FL —St. Andrews Country Club announces 2011 lineup of guest instructors including Michael Breed, Todd Anderson and Rick Smith each recognized as Golf Digests’ highest ranked PGA professionals and world-famous instructors.  Guest Golf Instructors will focus on communicating their philosophies to obtaining the perfect golf swing as part of the Guest Golf Instructor Series, an exclusive opportunity for golfers to learn from some of America’s best golf instructors in the hi-tech Golf Performance Center at St. Andrews Country Club.

Jim McLean and Morgan Pressel, St. Andrews Resident Touring Professional and LPGA Superstar, kicked off the series in November 2010 to an audience of over 150 St. Andrews Country Club members as part of the Golf Performance Center grand opening event.

Michael Breed was named the 2009 Metropolitan PGA Teacher of the Year and has been a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor since 2003.  Breed also hosts the TV show “The Golf Fix” on the Golf Channel.

Todd Anderson was recently named National Teacher of the Year by Golf Digest and won the South East Florida PGA Teacher of the Year award in 1995 and 1996.  His students have included Dicky Pride, Brett Quigley, Marshall Faulk, Matt Lauer and Ivan Lendl.

Rick Smith is regarded as one of the PGA tour’s best “sounding boards” for swing advice and has been consis­tently ranked as one of the Top Five golf instructors in the world by Golf Digest.  He’s assisted such notable golfers as Phil Mickelson, Lee Janzen and PGA Tour win­ners Rocco Mediate, Jerry Kelly, and Matt Kuchar.

Opening for play in 1983, Bob Toski, PGA Tour Champion and the number one ranked golf instructor in the U.S. joined St. Andrews Country Club as the first Director of Golf. Long known for his relationship with Golf Digest Schools, Toski quickly set the standard for St. Andrews Country Club golf programs and education. In 1994 Martin Hall, one of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers joined St. Andrews Country Club as an instructor while studying under the guidance Toski and Peter Kostis.  Hall was later promoted to Director of Instruction and with his tutelage; Morgan Pressel began her professional golf journey. Glenn Hall, currently listed by Golf Digest as one of America’s Best Teachers and two-time Michigan Teacher of the Year linked with St. Andrews Country Club as Director of Golf in 2004. Hall arrived fresh from the Champion’s Tour assisting his close friend and former Champion’s Tour Leading Money Winner, Bruce Fleisher. During this time, Hall also supported David Graham, a former U.S. Open and PGA Champion and tour veteran, Mike Smith.  As a former assistant to Toski, Hall continues the legacy of golf through innovative instruction and challenging programs, carrying on the legacy at St. Andrews.
