Kathryn Thorson Gruhn, MA CCC-SLP will team with Jack Canfield and several leading experts from various industries to release the new book, “Soul of Success, Vol.1” by CelebrityPress®.

Columbus, NC – May 21, 2015 – Kathryn Thorson Gruhn, author of the My Baby Compass® series of child development programs, has joined a select group of business experts and entrepreneurs from around the world, along with Best-Selling Author® Jack Canfield, originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul® series, to co-write the forthcoming book titled, Soul of Success, Vol.1: The World’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals Reveal Their Core Strategies for Getting to the Heart of Health, Wealth and Success. Nick Nanton, Esq. along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., the leading agents to Celebrity Experts® worldwide, recently signed a publishing deal with each of these authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPress® imprint.

Kathryn is known as The Positive Parenting Coach and has appeared on CBS, Fox, and the Discovery Channel. She has published articles in Baby Talk, CNN Health, How to Learn and local newspapers. Kathryn speaks locally and nationally promoting the empowerment of parents and educators as a team.

Inspired by her earlier career experiences, Kathryn published the My Baby Compass series, a child development program that helps parents assess and enhance their child’s ability from birth to seven years of age. Pediatricians  recommend the program because My Baby Compass helps parents document a child’s developmental history and provides coordinating activities to promote growth in speech, language, cognitive, hearing, physical and social/emotional skills. Using this program, a parent can tell quickly if their child is on target for typical development, and if not, what to do to help their child. Parents using the system are seeing advanced speech and language skills and cognitive awareness in their child. My Baby Compass is an easy program to understand and use. It is the ticket for a child’s  overall success.

A portion of the royalties earned from Soul of Success, Vol.1 will be donated to Entrepreneur’s International Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to creating unique launch campaigns to raise money and awareness for charitable causes.

More About Kathryn Thorson Gruhn, MA CCC-SLP:

When her father had undergone a laryngectomy and she attended his voice therapy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Kathryn  decided this was the career she wanted. After meeting Mother Theresa in India, helping others was engraved in her soul.

Finishing her degree at the University of Minnesota – Mankato, she worked in various school systems for ten years. She earned a Master’s Degree at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, with Certified Clinical Competence and worked in clinics, hospitals, rehab facilities and developmental day cares the next twenty-five years. Kathryn specialized in working with children from birth to seven in her private practice.

Her most rewarding experience was working in an all-inclusive developmental facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, educational specialists and physicians were part of the team in this program. Parents and health care providers worked as partners to help each child reach their potential.

Now she is enjoying her second career living in the Blue Ridge Mountains. When she isn’t speaking or exhibiting, she is singing, playing her dobro, riding her horse, taking care of her grandchild, writing biographies and telling funny stories.
