Dr. Veronica Anderson, Founder and Host of web radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, recently featured guest blogger, Dr. Ariel Rad, to provide some tips for those considering plastic surgery.

NEW YORK, NY – June 24, 2011 – Dr. Veronica Anderson, social media medicine expert and Host of health and wellness web radio talk show, Wellness for the REAL World, recently welcomed accomplished cosmetic surgeon Dr. Ariel Rad to be a guest on the radio show as well as a guest blogger on her popular website, http://www.DrVeronica.com.  Dr. Rad was asked to give some insight into the cosmetic surgery decision process in the blog titled, “Considering Plastic Surgery? A Few Simple Rules.”

Dr. Rad writes, “More and more, we see celebrities tweaking their appearances in hopes of maintaining some semblance of youth. Some have had good work, while others, (Michael and Latoya Jackson, to name a few), have not. If you, a friend, or a loved one are considering plastic surgery, there are a few simple rules to follow to help you get the result you dream about and to avoid a nightmare.”

Some of the rules shared by Dr. Lee include “Do Your Homework,” “Practice Makes Perfect,” “A Picture is Worth 10,000 Words,” “Consider the Whole Face” and “Less Is More.”

On research, Dr. Rad writes, “Before buying a car, you research the safety, reliability, and value of different cars, right? The same thing applies to choosing a surgeon.  Make sure he or she is safe by checking credentials: certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is vital. It means that your surgeon meets the most rigorous safety standards possible.”
