Promotional Marketing Expert, Danette Gossett, Encourages Business Owners To Actively Usher In A New Era Of Employee Recognition And Appreciation.
Owner and President of Gossett Marketing, a leading promotional marketing firm, Danette Gossett, proposes ways to stem the trend of “quiet quitting” and cultivate and age of employee appreciation.
MIAMI, FL– October 24, 2022 – Danette Gossett, Founder of Gossett Marketing Communications, Inc., Co-Founder of Promotions Resource, LLC, and co-author of the best-selling book, Transform, recently posted a new article on her website entitled, “Don’t Let Them Go Quietly…Keep Employees Engaged And Motivated With Recognition.” Ms. Gossett offers a few statistics and ideas to motivate business owners.
Gossett states, “Since the gut-punch blow of the “great resignation” delivered by the global pandemic, many businesses have been running very short-staffed. This has given rise to a new trend called “quiet quitting,” which is when employees do the bare minimum expected of them at work. They work the required hours and not a moment more. Gone are the days of employees going above and beyond the call of duty!”
As Gossett notes, “Some recent polls indicate that these “quiet quitters” make up at least 50% of the current U.S. workforce…and Gallup thinks that’s probably a low number. They expect this trend could get even worse.”
According to Gossett, “If you didn’t know it before, you now know that employee motivation and engagement is critically important to your business. Businesses cannot afford to be cavalier when it comes to solving the issues that contribute to ‘quiet quitting’.” Gossett writes, “This statement from Gallup sums up what’s behind “quiet quitting.” It’s related to “clarity of expectations, opportunities to learn and grow, feeling cared about, and a connection to the organization’s mission or purpose – signaling a growing disconnect between employees and their employers.” https://www.gallup.com/workplace/398306/quiet-quitting-real.aspx
Gossett writes, “I vote for actively cultivating a new trend that will lead to the “age of employee appreciation,” instead of trying to squeeze more out of fewer employees.” She continues, “It’s important that employers, team leaders, and business owners shift their thinking during this challenging time to stem the tide of “quiet quitting.”
Gossett goes on to inform her readers that “Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, March3, 2023.” She outlines some of the many benefits employers gain from putting together an Employee Appreciation program.
