Dr. Bruce Eichman will team up with other leading IT professionals to release the new book, “On Thin Ice,” a collaboration of expert advice on the Information Technology industry

Jacksonville, FL – August 25, 2020 – President, TeamLogic IT Jacksonville, Dr. Bruce Eichman, recently signed a publishing deal to co-write the forthcoming book titled On Thin Ice, published by TechnologyPress^™. In addition to Dr. Bruce’s expertise, the publication features content from other leading IT Consultants and Experts. The book will be released under TechnologyPress™, an imprint of CelebrityPress® LLC, a leading business book publisher that publishes books from ThoughtLeaders^® around the world.

On Thin Ice is tentatively scheduled for release in late fall of 2020.

Dr. Bruce and the other authors have chosen to receive no royalties from the book, and to instead donate them to the St. Jude Foundation.

About Dr. Bruce

Dr. Bruce Eichman has over 20 years of IT support experience and currently owns and operates TeamLogic IT in Jacksonville, Florida.  He is a 30-year Veteran of Naval military service, where he spent his last four years of service as the Director of IT financial services for the Military’s Special Operations Command.  After retiring in 2003, he was an IT Director for Oracle USA’s support services leading teams of engineers and technical account managers to design, implement, and maintain customer technology environments.

Bruce has a Ph.D. in IT Organizational Management, a Master’s in Business Administration, and a Master’s of Science in National Security and Strategic studies.  His academic/practitioner experiences bring a unique perspective to supporting technology, and his military background brings exceptional focus on process, policy, procedures, and controls.

He has more than 15 years of experience in risk management, compliance, and privacy with a focus on network security. Bruce has worked with businesses helping them identify solutions that make their businesses more secure, efficient, and easier to manage. He has managed information security governance, risk, and operations for state and local governments.  Bruce provides niche expertise, helping small and medium-sized businesses to plan, streamline, and update security assurance processes. He has spent over a decade as a programmer with a focus on web applications and application security providing collaborative recommendations on cybersecurity controls aimed at protecting clients. Bruce is the author of the book, HOW TECHNOLOGY CAN HELP YOU MANAGE AND GROW YOUR COMPANY.

A proven security professional and leader of security teams and programs, he works within a Cloud Service environment, specializing in security education, program design and architecture, compliance, privacy, and vendor vulnerability assessments. An expert on the application of HIPAA, GLBA, SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS in tenant environments. He has a passion for helping the average person and new security professionals understand the why, what, when, and how of security.  With a focus on prevention, he assists businesses in understanding how malware and network compromises happen and educates employees against social engineering threats.

Bruce is experienced in the art of communicating control responsibilities to customers and internal agents and agencies, preparing for audits, and accomplishing annual Service Organizations / Vendor assessments.  He provides guidance to establish policy and technical controls to ensure information is appropriately protected throughout its lifecycle.  Bruce is an expert in assisting smaller and mid-size companies in presenting their security posture to potential business partners, guiding them through the complex and sometimes daunting process of answering vendor security/posture questionnaires, developing a compliant security program, and remaining compliant with client demands.

Bruce is acutely aware of the need to improve the terminology and understanding of Information Security and all the issues and challenges this involves.  He fully understands the importance of reliable information systems and how critical it is to get problems resolved quickly.
