About Sabrina

Sabrina is a certified consultant, coach, and facilitator that helps small nonprofit Staff and Boards build relationships that convert into more donations. Being brought up in a home by a missionary who was constantly giving back to the church and the community, Sabrina naturally gravitated to the nonprofit world. Sabrina began her “official” nonprofit career as an intern in 1996. In 1998, she found her home with the Boys & Girls Clubs, where she served for 20 years and worked in the capacity of direct services, operations, and executive leadership.

Sabrina has a reputation for transformational leadership through staffing and mission alignment, fundraising, expanding programming, and community partnerships. One of Sabrina’s greatest successes is that she increased operation revenue from $750,000 to $2.5 million over an 8-year period. She was also responsible for planning, operating, and completing a $12-million comprehensive capital campaign and establishing a $500,000 endowment in the third poorest county in the United States. With this knowledge, she has helped her clients gain confidence in fundraising, engage their board in fundraising, and build fundraising systems. She has worked with a variety of nonprofits – from startups to those with a $4-million budget.

Sabrina understands that nonprofits enrich our world and works in partnership with her clients to build stronger nonprofit businesses. Her philosophy is “nonprofits can achieve long-term success when they have effective leaders, sound strategies, and diversified resources. Ultimately, this empowers them to fully sustain their mission and impact – in the arts, education, health and human services, medical research, conservation, animal protection, and communities of faith.”

Sabrina holds a Certification in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Business School, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas — RGV, and a Management Advanced Leadership Certification from the Strom Thurmond Leadership Institute from Clemson University. She is the President and CEO of Supporting World Hope, a nonprofit consulting agency specializing in management, fundraising, and leadership. She is a certified Master National Trainer for Boys & Girls Clubs of America and certified in David P. Weikart Methods Training of the Trainer. Sabrina has trained and facilitated workshops with thousands of nonprofit professionals across the country.

She is the recipient of numerous recognitions in the nonprofit world, but the one of which she is most proud of is being selected by the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America for serving as an inspiration and as a catalyst, resulting in transformational change of an organization with the Boys and Girls Clubs Movement.

Sabrina is an active community leader and volunteer in Edinburg, Texas, where she is based. Because of her service, she has been inducted into the BorderFest Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame, been named a Rotary Rotarian of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow twice. She has also been the recipient of the Golden Fire Hydrant from the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department.
