Premier Plattsburgh Dental Practice Says Good Oral Hygiene Increases Lifespan

Dr. William P. Caldon, D.M.D., owner of Plattsburgh’s High Peaks Dental, explains how regular dentist appointments and impeccable oral hygiene can circumvent many life-threatening problems that, left untreated, can take years off your life.

Plattsburgh, NY — February 6, 2015 — Renowned Plattsburgh dentist Dr. William Caldon published a new article entitled “The Secret to Longevity: Never Miss a Dental Appointment.” In the article, he says that regular dentist appointments — supplemented with good oral hygiene — will not only prevent certain life-threatening conditions, but can also increase longevity.

Says Caldon, “Did you know that seeing your dentist regularly and maintaining excellent dental hygiene can increase your lifespan? It’s true — but so is the reverse. Not taking care of your teeth can actually lead to a shorter lifespan. When it comes to overall health, the teeth, gums, and health of the mouth are crucial.”

Dr. Caldon has been a co-owner of High Peaks Dental since 1996 after serving in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retiring as a Colonel. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville and his Bachelor’s from Thomas More College. In 2013, USA Today featured Caldon as one of America’s Premier Dentists.
