Kelly Smith Parker, Founder of Good In Deed®, was recently invited to share her habits for professional success in Inc. Magazine’s “Success Today” feature.

About Kelly Smith Parker:

Kelly Smith Parker has a big idea, and she’s not intimidated by what it’s going to take to accomplish it. “If someone isn’t laughing at your dreams, then your dreams just aren’t big enough,” she says.

Born in San Francisco, California, to an ophthalmologist father and a pediatrician mother, Kelly has always been a doer, seeking to better the lives of others, as her parents did, through their professions. From the age of sixteen, she has been deeply involved in all aspects of charitable work, always with the end desire to change lives through her efforts. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California, and her professional career includes Senior Development Officer positions at Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles and The Harker School in San Jose.

In 2014, she launched her online philanthropic organization, Good In Deed®, and for the past two years she has been working tirelessly to meet the philanthropic needs of those in her community and beyond. Her dream of turning Good In Deed^® into the “global site for giving” and becoming a ubiquitous force for good in our world is progressing nicely. The #DoGoodInDeed community is changing the world’s landscape through its actions—doing good deed by good deed along the way. She is certain that she is exactly where she needs to be, and she is persevering fearlessly and passionately, moving forward with purpose in every step taken to make this dream a global reality.

In her message of inspired action, Kelly says, “I believe everyone should have access to food, clothing, and shelter. But my work every day tells me that so many among us still do not have access to those three fundamental things that most of us take for granted. I want to change that. And do so much more.”

Today, Kelly lives in Orange County, California with her husband, John, and their two sons, Cole and Austin. Outside of her mission to do good in this world, she also enjoys baking, exercising, hiking, paragliding, parasailing, snow skiing, snowshoeing, traveling, and zip lining. Kelly is philanthropic with her personal time, as well, by volunteering at her sons’ school, in her community, and at her church.
