Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of SmileCreator Of Naples And Best-selling Co-author Encourages Readers Boost Their Immune System Before The Holidays.
Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the SmileCreator of Naples, writes about how many people have skipped dental appointments due to COVID-19 and encourages establishing an appointment before the stress of the holidays, knowing that stress lowers immunity and resistance to disease.
Naples, FL, October 26, 2020: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new blog on his website entitled, “Stressful Holidays Can Lower The Body’s Resistance To Disease.” Dr. Hernandez reminds readers how stressful the upcoming holidays can be and talks about the importance of oral health particularly during stressful times…
Dr. Hernandez writes, “We are heading into the stressful holiday season more stressed than ever before. The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented degree of uncertainty and fear throughout the world.” He continues adding, “As we approach the holiday season, one thing we know is that we are also entering the cold and flu season. The scientists are warning that we may see increased cases of COVID-19 due in large part to the cooler temperatures, and due to the fact that many people are going to let their desire to celebrate the Thanksgiving tradition with family override their health and safety concerns.”
As Dr. Hernandez points out, “It is going to be a stressful time, whether you decide to travel or stay put. And we know that stress diminishes the body’s ability to fight off viruses, colds and other illnesses.” “In addition,” says Dr. Hernandez, “many people have skipped dental and doctor’s appointments due to COVID-19. My suggestion is that before the holidays and before the bone-chilling weather sets in, that you schedule a dental appointment for several reasons.”
