New York Dental Practice Says Sometimes Tooth Extraction Is The Least-Painful Option

Dr. William P. Caldon, D.M.D., co-owner of Plattsburgh’s High Peaks Dental, explains that while removing teeth isn’t always a patient’s or dentist’s first choice, the procedure can actually work wonders in preventing infection, disease, and pain down the road.

Plattsburgh, NY — September 9, 2015 — Renowned Plattsburgh dentist Dr. William Caldon published a new article entitled “When It’s Better to Extract a Problem Tooth.” In the article, he discusses the most common reasons patients need to have a tooth extracted, reminding patients that the procedure is safe, effective, and not nearly as scary as the conditions caused by problematic teeth.

William CaldonSays Caldon, “Nobody likes thinking about tooth extractions, or “having a tooth pulled.” After all, it’s perhaps the most-feared dental procedure out there. We’re here to say fear not. Having a problem tooth pulled, as with many routine medical procedures, may actually be the best way to prevent much scarier medical problems down the road.

Dr. Caldon has been a co-owner of High Peaks Dental since 1996 after serving in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retiring as a Colonel. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville and his Bachelor’s from Thomas More College. In 2013, USA Today featured Caldon as one of America’s Premier Dentists.
