Milwaukee Area Dentist Tony Cigno Releases First in Article Series About Preparing Your Dental Health for the New Year
Milwaukee area dentist Dr. Tony Cigno discusses areas of dental health to consider as you move into 2018.
Greenfield, WI — January 22, 2018 — Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno recently published an article titled, “Preparing Your Dental Health for the New Year Part 1.”
As Dr. Cigno explains, “The first phase of your new year dental health review is taking stock of your current dental condition. You need to know where you stand in order to know what needs to be addressed now, or in the near future. This begins with a self-evaluation.”
Dr. Cigno goes on to add, “The good news is that for many people, the new year is also when dental savings plans, HAS, or FSA plans, renew. That is another reason this is an idea time to do this review and addresses any dental care needs that might be found.”
In this part of the two-part series, Dr. Cigno elaborates on how to do the self-assessment, any time that’s convenient for you. He also reveals some few key areas that should be reviewed with your dentist as well. Part two of the series goes further into detail about the different healthcare savings – or flexible savings – plans that exist and how they relate to dental care and treatment.
A few of the specific things Dr. Cigno advises the reader to check are gum health, cosmetics – such as chipped or jagged teeth, and of course, having annual x-rays performed.
He also suggests that the new year might be an opportune time to consider cosmetic dental treatments like smile makeovers or tooth whitening and even, orthodontics for teeth straightening or to correct bite problems.
