Estate & Asset Protection Attorney and Managing Partner, Shannon Pawley, provides background information on three women she considers her heroines in the law profession in honor of National Women’s History Month.

DECATUR, GA, March 22, 2021: Shannon Pawley, Managing Partner of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new article on the law firm’s website entitled “In Honor Of The Women Who Have Made History In Law.” Ms. Pawley acknowledges all women in every field as deserving of recognition, however, turns her attention to three women in particular who have made significant contributions to society at large during their careers in the legal profession.

Pawley informs readers that, “This year’s theme for National Women’s History Month is: Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced.” She continues, “As a woman-owned law firm in the state of Georgia, I want to give a special shout out to our state’s very own Stacey Abrams. Abrams focuses on voting rights and made an enormous contribution to the most recent presidential election.” She further adds, “I am also highlighting Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Myra Bradwell, both of whom have made enormous contributions to women and society in general.”

As Pawley points out, “A debt of gratitude is owed to these three women and countless other women in every field throughout history who has fought in any way for the right to be treated fairly and equitably. For the right to pursue any endeavor and to be viewed and treated fairly and equitably.” She goes on to write, “The women who have pursued and excelled in the legal profession and have made strides for every person are my heroines. I am filled with gratitude to all the amazing women who did not take “no” for an answer and who put in the effort to overcome enormous challenges to make life better not just for women, but for women and men of color, gender, and equality rights.”

About Shannon M. Pawley, J.D., LL.M

Shannon is the firm’s Managing Partner.  Born and raised in the Tidewater area of Virginia to a tightknit family with strong military service roots, Shannon learned from an early age the value of hard work and the importance of social awareness to ensure you always leave a situation in a better place than how you entered it.  In her junior year of high school, Shannon served as U.S. House of Representatives Page during the 101st United States Congressional Session in Washington, D.C.  This experience exposed her to numerous new cultures and worldly issues.  Walking away from her experience as a U.S. House of Representative Page, Shannon knew that she wanted to pursue legal studies and be able to assist others in obtaining the best results available in difficult situations.

Shannon earned her undergraduate degree at North Carolina Wesleyan College and pursued a law degree from Michigan State University College of Law.  After obtaining her law degree and becoming a licensed attorney in Michigan, she continued her educational pursuit by acquiring a LL.M. (Master of Law) in Taxation from Wayne State University.
