Cole, MD on her radio show.  Dr. Cole’s exceptional story about surviving the 2004 tsunami in Sri Lanka became in instant favorite with Dr. Veronica’s listeners.  The dramatic interview let Dr. Veronica and her listeners understand what it was like to actually survive a devastating tsunami.

Bruno N. Cole MD, a cardio-thoracic surgeon who was on the beach in Sri Lanka in 2004 when the tsunami hit. After narrowly surviving himself, he looked down from a high floor in his hotel, seeing a landscape of corpses and hearing desperate screams for help. Amid the chaos and hysteria that followed, he heroically set up a makeshift emergency clinic and toiled to save lives, setting broken bones with sheets and smashed furniture.

“With the horrific tsunami and earthquake in Japan as a backdrop, this interview was such a great way to understand what it must be like to be involved in such a devastating event, and I believe we now have a vivid picture of what thousands are going through right now.  Dr. Cole’s heroic story is such an inspiration for me, and I am so grateful that he shared it with us,” remarked Dr. Veronica Anderson.
