Master Wordsmith Gerri Asbury was recognized for her contribution to the book “Leo Learns About Life” with a Writer EXPY® Award

Cleveland, Ohio –August 9, 2019 – Speech Language Pathologist, Motivational Speaker, and Master Wordsmith Gerri Asbury was awarded a Writer EXPY® from the National Association of Experts, Writers and Speakers®. Ms. Asbury received the award due to her contribution to the book Leo Learns About Life. In this children’s anthology, Ms. Asbury teamed up with other successful professionals, including Jack Canfield, to compile a selection of short stories designed to teach children invaluable lessons that will benefit them throughout their lives.

The National Association of Experts, Writers and Speakers® was founded to honor experts for their contribution to education, enlightenment, and business. Ms. Asbury was invited to attend the 5^th Annual EXPY® Awards, in which three different award categories were presented: Writer, Speaker, and Media and Communications. The Association was pleased to highlight Ms. Asbury’s commitment to those core values and her willingness to share her knowledge with others through the written word with a Writer EXPY®.

Leo Learns About Life was published by CelebrityPress® and is currently available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other major online book retailers. A portion of the royalties earned from Leo Learns About Life will be given to Entrepreneur’s International Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to creating awareness for charitable causes. Ms. Asbury’s short story in Leo Learns About Life is entitled “Leo Finds His Self-Confidence,” and is designed to teach and inspire children to find their phenomenal abilities within and assert their own self-confidence.

About Gerri Asbury

Geraldine Asbury, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, nationally certified member of the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) and a motivational speaker. For the past 35 years as a Communication Specialist, she has dedicated her life to helping people develop their language skills to empower and support their individual needs and dreams.
