Founder/Owner of American Laser Med Spa, Neel Kanase, M.D., Speaks About Rosacea.
Neel Kanase, M.D., owner of American Laser Med Spa and co-author of The Soul of Success, cautions those with Rosacea to be very careful in the sun and proposes micro needling is a procedure that is showing promising results.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, June 20, 2017: Owner and Founder of American Laser Med Spa, Neel Kanase, M.D., posted a new blog on his website entitled, “Summertime Is Great For A Rosy Complexion, but Not Rosacea.” While long summer days call out to everyone to spend time enjoying outdoor activities, Dr. Kanase urges those with Rosacea to take special precautions.
According to Dr. Kanase, “With Rosacea, it often appears that you’ve spent too much time in the sun when you haven’t been out in it at all.” He continues adding, “Unfortunately, you have to be extremely careful about what you apply to the skin. Many sunscreens will do more harm than good.”
“Micro needling is a procedure that can be successful for treating Rosacea,” says Dr. Kanase. “However,” he adds, “you must be aware that the procedure may also stimulate greater redness for a time.”
Dr. Kanase states, “While micro needling can be effective, the most important treatment for Rosacea also includes a combination of topical treatments, minimal sun exposure and diet.”
