 ATLANTA, GA, December 10, 2018: Founder and Owner of Oculus Plastic Surgery and Specialty Surgery Center, Harvey “Chip” Cole, III, MD, FACS posted a new blog on the Oculus website entitled, “The Importance Of Maintaining A Healthy Weight During The Holiday Season.” Dr. Cole recommends maintaining best health whether having a procedure or not.

Dr. Cole writes, “Once upon a time, the holidays were just that – one day in November, a few days in December (depending on what holidays you observe) and January. That would be New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.” He adds, “Yes, there was typically a little overeating the day after Thanksgiving with all the yummy leftovers, But, then, the overindulgence was over until the next holiday. So keeping tabs on the waistline wasn’t such a big job back then.” He emphasizes, “We all know those days are long gone!”

According to Dr. Cole, “Maintaining a healthy weight is important for so many reasons and especially so if you have a cosmetic procedure scheduled for early in the new year.” He continues adding, “You want to be in the best possible health and fitness prior to any procedure. Too much holiday cheer can make you bloated all over your body from head to toe. Recovery rates are much better when you are in the best condition.”
