Prior to forming GEP, Roopa served as the director of business development for Novo Nordisk, identifying, assessing and negotiating new business opportunities. Before that, as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney, she led strategic sourcing and spend management engagements for Fortune 100 companies.

A licensed pharmacist, Roopa has held various positions in R&D and technical sales at Rhone Poulenc (now Rhodia) and at Hoechst, spanning various aspects of manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance.
