Dwayne Foster, President and CEO of Stinson Press, Inc., Values Personal Service
Dwayne Foster, President and CEO of Stinson Press, Inc., offers his thoughts on a level of service in business that puts relationships and quality above the lowest price point, cultivating a newfound respect for a once meaningful code of honor.
Poplar Bluff, MO – July 6, 2016: Dwayne Foster, Author, Speaker, President & CEO of Stinson Press, Inc, posted a new article on his website entitled, “The Value of Superior Customer Service Over Price.” In a world where expectations of service run high yet the desire for the lowest price runs higher, Mr. Fowler’s new article resonates with the underlying thought that you get what you pay for.
“If you were ever a fan of the sitcom, Cheers, like I was,” Foster begins, “you’ll remember that the bar was a place where everybody knew everyone who came in by name.” He continues adding, “It was a friendly place where people were remembered and addressed by name each time they arrived. “
Foster lets it be known that he likes being addressed by name when he goes into a business on a regular basis. He states, “It’s an indication to me that I will get better service here than at a place that puts no value on having their employees remember and recognize their customers by name.” He elaborates further, “This is one of the most important reasons I give my business to a particular company or shop versus other competitors that might be closer to me geographically.”
According to Foster, “Once there was a code of honor in business, much like a handshake meant you were giving your word and that was enough. However,” he adds, “over time some people didn’t keep their word, they abused the code, which has given rise to legions of high priced, high paid attorneys who draft contracts and agreements, which businesses and individuals must sign to be held to their agreements.” “And, yet,” he emphasizes, “there are still those who try to get out of those agreements.”
