Kevin Zimmerman is a 20-year, highly decorated, retired US Army veteran. He accomplished the rare feat of being awarded two Soldier’s Medals for services rendered while on a peace-keeping exercise in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Soldier’s Medal is the highest award given by Congress for an act of bravery when our nation is not declared at war. Kevin navigated two heavily infested land mine fields to save the lives of non-US service members.
He commissioned the writing of his book, A Time For Everything: The Kevin Zimmerman Story, by Michael L. White in May 2008. The second edition was published in January 2012. The book chronicles Kevin’s life from childhood up to the two miraculous events in Bosnia Herzegovina. In June 2012, the book became a permanent part of US Military History by being accepted into the archives of the US Army Medical Department Museum, Fort Sam Houston, TX. In January 2013, the book also became a permanent part of American History by being accepted into the library and archives of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington DC. Feeling compelled to give back to US Service members and their families, he committed to providing proceeds from the book to Service Member Support Organizations nationwide. His endeavors led to hosting “The Kevin Zimmerman Show” on The Artist First Radio Network (www.ATFEKZ.com). The show is proud to announce that it has over 65,000 listeners worldwide. The majority of the listeners are deployed US Service Members to whom the show is dedicated.
The announcement comes in the May, the month we celebrate Memorial Day – a day in which we acknowledge and celebrate the service men and women who have given their lives for America. This collaboration is purposed to share uplifting and encouraging entertainment for deployed service members and other listeners around the world. “We honor the service men and women around the world who freely give of themselves to protect the United States of America and its allies”, says Deborah.
A proponent of living life to its fullest, Deborah encourages others to be motivated, uplifted and renewed by broadening their horizons, engaging their passions, and seeking genuine expansion in all areas of their life. Deborah is available for conferences, television, retreats, speaking engagements and interviews.
