Vijay Nyayapati is the founder of Computer Support Company Ltd, an IT company based in Auckland, New Zealand. Vijay brings over 22 years’ experience in the IT industry.

Vijay has been working with technology since the 80s. His dad bought him his first 80286 computer, that he had to share with his brother, during the MS DOS 3.x era. This naturally got him interested in pursuing an education and career in information technology

After having spent a couple of years writing software applications for a manufacturing plant in Harare, Zimbabwe in the early 90s, Vijay set about forming his own business supplying hardware and software to businesses. Within a matter or 3 years, the company grew to a reasonable size due to his vision and philosophy of providing an honest, reliable and exceptional customer service. He started to deal with larger companies, and sat on various “Y2K Bug” project committees.

Due to the deteriorating security situation in Zimbabwe, Vijay migrated with this family to New Zealand in late 2001 and worked for an IT firm in Auckland for just over 2 years.

After seeing that many small businesses were being overcharged for technology services whilst not getting the promised level of service, Vijay then decided to go back to what he knows best – running a business with a differentiating factor! He formed Computer Support Company Ltd in 2004, with a different strategy to most IT providers. The business model used by CSC does not permit profit generated from capitalizing on client technology problems. Instead, networks, desktops and servers are managed proactively to minimize downtime and save money for clients.

With the constantly changing security scenario and an overload of information available to small and medium businesses, Vijay realized that SMBs did not protect their IT systems and networks well enough to prevent attacks and data theft. The security focus by many other IT providers was reserved for the ‘elite’ corporate clients.   Therefore, he has made his personal mission now to ensure that SMBs protect themselves against this growing threat, without breaking the bank!

Under Attack is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2016.
