San Antonio, TX, March 9, 2020 – CEO of Amped Lead Generation LLC, Rick Orozco, has recently joined Emmy® Award Winning Director, Nick Nanton, in the filming of It’s Happening Right Here. A new documentary that sheds light and awareness on the more than 300,000 American minors being lured into the sex trade every year.

Rick Orozco joined the Emmy® Award Winning DNA Films crew for a day of principle filming in San Diego in late January.

Rick Orozco was on set for Nanton’s interview with Tim Ballard, the founder of Operation Underground Railroad. Ballard and his organization will be highlighted in the film for their work in fighting trafficking, specifically in cases that involve women and children being brought into the U.S. from other countries.

He then joined the film crew for a behind-the-scenes tour of San Diego’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The Task Force Commander spoke with producers about cases involving minors who are trafficked online and through social media. Rick Orozco got to ask questions as the Task Force Commander gave a look into how police are working to fight trafficking and child exploitation in the U.S.

An investigator with San Diego ICAC gave Rick Orozxo and his fellow producers a demonstration with one of the K-9s the task force uses for electronic detection of devices that store child pornography.

The interviews with Ballard and San Diego ICAC investigators will serve as two elements in this film which aims to give an overall view of the many ways trafficking is happening right here in the U.S.

Coming Fall 2020, It’s Happening Right Here follows the men and women who have joined together to make it their mission to rescue the millions of women, men, and children trapped in sex trafficking and make a difference in the lives of victims of this trade that is happening right here in our own backyards, in America.

About Rick Orozco

Rick has led an interesting life and found great success in many industries. He began his career in music and was signed to Arista Records in 1994, and EMI Music Publishing in 1995. He has written many chart-topping songs in multiple music genres and has also received four Grammy nominations. He was selected to serve on the Board of Governors for the Grammys to represent his peers, and to join the advocacy fight for music rights with congress. Music is his passion and he has owned and managed his publishing company, Lyric Rain Music, and his music and film production company, Latin Twang Productions, with much success. He has written multiple screen plays for film, and has produced a documentary on music, This is My Country, and is currently the executive producer on a new documentary to shed light on the sex trafficking trade, It is Happening Right Here.

He jumped into the mortgage industry fifteen years ago and found instant success. He managed many regions and divisions for many banks throughout his career, and has built and managed the day-to-day operations for billions in mortgage loan transactions in his career. He is now Vice-President of Sales and Emerging Markets for Planet Home Lending.

In 2017, he started his own marketing company, Amped Lead Generation, LLC, partnered with a state-of-the-art CRM system, Amped Database Management, so that he could generate mortgage and real estate leads for his team, and to make sure he was able to capitalize on the leads generated to monetize them. He found great success in generating thousands of leads in select cities and began to move into other industries. He now does Lead Generation for Mortgage Banks, Realtors, a United HealthCare Division, Nashville recording studios and Chronic Pain Doctors, and is set to move into the auto industry as well as personal injury law.
