Academy of International Dentistry Fellow, Don Shaw Helps End The Tiring Grind of Interrupted Sleep.

Dr. Don Shaw, partner and co-owner of Bess & Shaw Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, reveals widespread occurrence of clenching and grinding of teeth during sleep and the underlying condition of obstructive sleep apnea with the purpose of helping to bring an end to the suffering caused by both.

Beaumont, TX, March 17, 2016: Partner and co-owner of Bess & Shaw Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Don Shaw, DDS posted a new blog on his website entitled, Clench, Grind, Snore, Toss, Turn, and Wake No More. According to Shaw, “Two conditions are keeping millions of people from sleeping soundly through the night: Losing sleep due to clenching and grinding the teeth (sleep bruxism) and waking up constantly due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea.”

“Some people,” writes Shaw, “clench and grind their teeth so intensely during sleep that they suffer jaw pain. This condition is called Sleep Bruxism.” He continues adding, “Many people have it and don’t even know they do simply because not everyone suffers jaw pain. Sleep bruxism is often an “underlying” disease associated with a life threatening condition known as sleep disordered breathing or obstructive sleep apnea.”
