The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm Owner, Shannon Pawley, Launches First of 4-Part Series on How The One Big Beautiful Bill Affects Medicaid and Seniors
Shannon Pawley, The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm Owner, helps readers understand the changes coming to Medicaid in 2028 with the passing of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
DECATUR, GA, August 14, 2025: Shannon Pawley, Owner of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new blog on the law firm’s website entitled “The One Big Beautiful Bill and Medicaid: Part One.” Ms. Pawley launches into a 4-part series in which she will explain the changes that could cause some to lose Medicaid benefits or prevent them from receiving them.
Pawley writes, “Throughout the month of August, I am turning my attention to the new bill passed by Congress and signed by the President in late July called the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB).” She continues, “I’m pretty sure it will not be perceived as “beautiful” to those whose lives it will affect in adverse ways: the senior population and Medicaid recipients of all ages. My objective,” Pawley explains, “ =is to help you understand how these changes may adversely affect your plans for retirement, long-term health care and your eligibility for Medicaid.”
According to Pawley, “There will be more red tape and fewer safety nets.” She continues, “As many have feared, the OBBB imposes new restrictions and procedural hurdles that could result in a loss of Medicaid coverage for many. Mind you,” she adds, “the loss of coverage would not be due to no longer qualifying. What poses greater challenges are increased administrative burdens for those who already have Medicaid along with more challenges to those initially attempting to access coverage.”
