Sandy Olson, Speaker and Owner of Pathway to Success, a motivational company shares thoughts about what it takes to successfully achieve goals reminding readers that until they’ve exhausted all options there is no failure.

Frederick, MD – June 10, 2018 – Sandy Olson, owner and speaker with Pathway to Success, a motivational company, recently published an article on her website titled “You’ll Never Fail If You Never Give Up.” Ms. Olson makes use of the mid-year month of June much like the half-time period of a football game as a time to stretch and reassess.

Olson writes, “Many of you probably take time this month to reassess your progress toward the goals you set at the beginning of the year.” She continues adding, “I know many people I’ve talked with over the years have a tendency to be hard on themselves if they aren’t where they think they should be or where they expected they’d be by now when they do this mid-year evaluation.”

“I typically urge gentleness in these self-evaluations,” says Olson, “because I know that people always do the best they can given the circumstances of their lives.” She elaborates further, “You’ve heard the expression, “Life gets in the way.” It happens all the times. So be kind to yourself.  At the same time, don’t misunderstand. I’m not suggesting that you be so lenient that you don’t make any significant progress toward your goal. “

“And, remember,” Olson writes, “sometimes you just have to take a break. That doesn’t mean you’re giving up. Everyone needs a little vacation, change of scenery, breather, call it what you will.  If you’re like me, a brief respite from the pursuit of your goal brings you back recharged, rejuvenated and ready to go for it with all you’ve got!” 

Olson points out, “If your goal is meaningful, you simply won’t give up.” She adds, “This reminds me of a quote I came across attributed to a young New Zealand born actor, Emmett Skilton. Olson says, “I love that quote because it embodies a never give up spirit. As long as you have a passion to achieve your goal and there are still avenues leading to it which you’ve not gone down, there is still the potential for success.”
