Business Coach, Dr. Charles M. Simons, will team with CelebrityPress, a leading book publishing company, and several leading experts from around the world to release the book, “Against The Grain”

Kokomo, IN – August 22, 2013 – Orthodontic specialist and business coach, Charles M. Simons, D.D.S., M.S.D., has joined a select group of the world’s leading experts, along with noted business development expert, best-selling author and speaker, Brian Tracy, to co-write the forthcoming book titled, Against The Grain: The World’s Leading Experts Reveal How They Achieved Positive Results in a Down Economy! Nick Nanton, Esq., along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., recently signed a publishing deal with each of these authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPress imprint.

Dr. Simons is currently a retired orthodontist after 42 years and is serving as business coach to business executives and professionals who want to grow their business and become energized by the process, enjoying less stress and more cash at the end of the day.   He likes to engage an audience with stories, humor, a message, and inspiration.

The Celebrity Experts® co-authoring this book include entrepreneurs, mentors and coaches. They have survived and thrived in the midst of the constantly changing marketplace – going Against The Grain. The royalties from this project will be given to Entrepreneur’s International Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to creating unique launch campaigns to raise money and awareness for charitable causes. The book is expected to be published in September 2013.

About Dr. Charles M. Simons:

Dr. Simons’ specialty is orthodontics with a primary focus on tooth straightening and jaw alignment for children and adults.  Attention has always been given not only to the teeth and the most current technologies of invisible, removable, and traditional dental braces, but also to the individual patient’s needs and desires in order to enhance their quality of life, individual accomplishments, and achievement of their goals.

Dr. Simons established the primary location of the practice in Kokomo, IN, 1970, with satellite practices in Frankfort, IN, Tipton, IN, and Peru, IN. He is a graduate of DePauw University as a Rector Scholar, Indiana University School of Dentistry, and Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Department of Orthodontics earning an M.S.D.

Dr. Simons is a Board Certified orthodontist and holds status as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontists. His practice as a specialist has always been limited to the practice of orthodontics for adults and children.

Dr. Simons has been president of the Indiana Dental Association, Wabash Valley Dental Society, Howard County Dental Society, Indiana Orthodontic Association, and the Great Lakes Association of orthodontists. He co-chaired the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA, in 1989.  Nearly 20 years has been spent in the House of Delegates for the American Dental Association as well as many years in the House of Delegates of the American Association of Orthodontists with assignments to various committees and councils.

Dr. Simons is an active member of dental honoraries.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists as well as the International College of Dentists in which he is a Past President of the USA Section (over 7,000 members), Vice President of the USA Section Foundation, nine years and now Past Councilor of the International College of Dentists at large, and is currently serving as Ambassador for the newly formed International College of Dentists world wide foundation. He holds the Distinguished Service Alumni Award from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.   He is only the second person ever to have been presented an honorary membership in the European Section of the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Simons has served his community on many boards as an active participant and officer.  He served two Indiana Governors as an Indiana Arts Commissioner for a total of ten years.  He is a past president of the Kokomo Symphonic Society, Inc. and is currently serving on its board of directors. He was awarded the highest gubernatorial award by two different Indiana governors and was named a Kentucky colonel. He and his wife currently serve as the honorary chairpersons for the historic Seiberling Mansion’s annual fund drive.

Dr. Simons married his wife, Alice Grace, in 1968.  They have a son (a general and patent attorney in Noblesville, IN) and a daughter (retired from Piper Jaffray as a floor trader, a retired financial planner, and now a realtor and real estate marketer in Edina, MN).  Both children are married, and each as 3 children with a total of 6 grandchildren for Dr. and Mrs. Simons.
